Welcome to Hope’s Notes.

Hi, my name is Hope.

About Me

I’m 29 and I have five kids, ages nine and under. My husband, Peter, is an entrepreneur and skater dude. We live in Chattanooga, TN, and are very annoying about how much we love it here 😁 I’m the founder and primary content creator for Family Scripts.

The past eleven years have been really intense, and I’ve been stretched and grown more than I would prefer 😅 Those journeys have created interesting stories and perspective shifts that might encourage you. (And there are many stories that are still painfully in-process.)

If I don’t write, I get pent-up and really grouchy. I’m so grateful to have a big outlet through Family Scripts. However, I want to be able to write about more personal things without needing to use social media (especially after reading Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport) so I created this publication.

On Fridays, I’ll write about what I’m learning and where I’m seeing truth and beauty (and/or humor) whether it’s parenting, mental health, homeschooling, entrepreneurship, marriage, theology, birth, or random interests such as ancient civilizations, Russian hip-hop, Avatar: The Last Airbender, museums, solarpunk aesthetic, and toothpaste-flavored chicken biryani. (I have a lot of cooking fails.)

I hope you enjoy this newsletter and I would love to hear your feedback! You can always reply to the emails or leave a comment. Thanks for reading!

Love,

Hope

I've got five kids and an entrepreneur husband. I love Jesus. I don't love salad.
